She may not go over prices because she is not taking on new clients at this time, period, but there are three schools of thought when giving a quote:

1. Fixed price, no negotiating, can be given on the spot and most of the time this is what we expect but even then some things can still be negotiated, except, of course, the grocery store unfortunately.

2. When services could vary, they need to talk to you first to determine your needs and income level, then give you a quote based on the services or items you need; they will then provide a quote, which this could be the case for what you are looking into and why she cannot offer one right up front. It varies from client to client. This is often times the case for a quote based on your needs.

3. They purposefully want to develop a relationship or connection with them and to sell more than you need, wanting to meet to go over ALL that they they offer in hopes you will be interested in other things so that they can in person gauge your reactions to "up sell" you the other things than what you are after. It is harder to say "no" in person. It is wise for marketing but annoying when you know you are looking for just a particular service or item.

#2 often gets intermingled with #3 even with the best intentions. This is also where 'buyer beware' comes in; it's not just about the item or service, it's about how they reel you in.

I hope you find a coach that is upfront about their services that you like and is super helpful and supportive.
