But I guess some posts were edited, so that's why this thread seems a bit disjointed.
It seems to me that the entire western medical hierarchy is constructed in a way that is deeply flawed. In a great many ways, yes - it does feel like abuse. Not just feel like: it is abusive. That terrible power paradigm is ever-present. And too, there's the reality that, for those of us who have been abused, we tend to be exceedingly sensitive to anything that feels the least bit abusive.
The trick of it all, to me, is not to become bitter. To somehow avoid falling into that trap.
