My T has been out on medical leave. In February when she offered to refer me to another T while she would be out, I thought that it wouldn't be necessary. A few days after her offer, I changed my mind and I'm glad I did.

Substitute T is a friend of my T so I can get updates on her condition. My T also invited me to email her whenever I'd like to get updates. I've emailed 3 times since February and she's been very open about her treatment and her condition.

In October I'll be faced with an interesting and somewhat uncomfortable change. Luckily and happily my T will be working again. That makes me very happy and I've missed her these last months.

But, now I'll miss substitute T and it's not like when regular T was gone when I knew I'd see her again in a few months.

So, I'll be happy and sad at the same time. I wonder if I can see substitute T occasionally. She's already said we'll discuss the transition.

Anybody else gone through such a situation?
