Yes I forgot to mention this. I can only contact the front desk. I cannot email or call my therapist directly. She has twice called me personally (usually the front desk calls on her behalf) when I was in crisis, but only to make a crisis appointment, not to have a phone session.
Sometimes I am jealous of those who have out of session contact, but sometimes I think it's what's best for me. I think I might abuse that privilege.
