SSDI is just based on the persons work history credit , since cln hasn’t worked much she would only qualify for SSI , which that can only be given on total household income. If her husband makes over X amount ( I’m not 100% sure on amount ) she would not receive her benefit of like 770 I “ think” is SSI limit max

Sucks he has to pay for student supplies but SSI doesn’t care where household income is or not nor what it’s spent on.

My friends husband was on SSI , if she took more than 2 extra 4 hour shifts it put them over the limit and they didn’t receive his SSI Check.

Sucks but the government has some wacky rules and guidelines
