Sorry about your experience with your T. I've heard that it happens somewhat frequently - it's one of those things that not everyone knows how to deal with, even T's. Some people want to have training in whatever they help their client through, but they might not when it comes to SI (since SI can be the result of any number of issues someone is having).
Dont take it personally ... it's not you, it's your T's issue, and maybe they think referring you elsewhere for help is in your best interest...
Have you tried talking to her and finding out her reasons for trying to reject you/refer you elsewhere? Or maybe see if you can see someone else to deal with the SI, but that everything else your current T helps you deal with at the same time?
