I hope it's okay to ask this

If we donate to the community fund thing, are we suspected of trying to earn "brownie points" with the "powers that be"? ie the admins and mods (by this I mean do the admins/mods think we're trying to earn "brownie points"?)

I don't want "brownie points" I want to help people
