Being diagnosed can also help if your school has accommodations for people with adhd (disability services). You may be able to utilize some services, if you do have adhd. And if you don't, it would be useful to better understand what issues you DO have.

Either way, realize that the "testing" is not a 100% definitive answer, but will hopefully give you more information and guidance.
