So they are requiring you sleep over in a facility if you want a sleep study? They are having the wife do a sleep study - apparently, she will be wearing a monitor and sleeping at home.
Maybe there are certain readings they are wanting to see that can only be done in the lab, then?
I'd be just the opposite - unless I knew I war havin' to go under the knife at 5am in the morning - in which case I'd be staring, unblinking at the minute hand of the clock on the night-stand till an hour before they came for me. Waiting for the ominous shadows of the vital-signs techs to appear under the door from the lighted hallway, wishing I'd a smoke - even if I quit, I'd sure want one now. Be a crackin time to start back, wouldn't it?
Eyes dart back to the clock, then back to the crack under the door, wondering how far the nearest all-night store was and if I could sneak out undetected. That'd be a sight - geezer wandering down the road in a surgical gown, which probably looks more like a straight-jacket, asking directions to the nearest smoke-shop, lol.
Otherwise, no worries. Sleep like a baby

Lol!
I am not sure if we will be doing a home study or a study at the sleep lab.
All talk of a sleep study has stopped and the study held up. I have to be sleeping first. Then we can do a sleep study.
