I expect better but I’m frequently disappointed.
Hear! Hear! I am exactly the same way. It doesn't weird me out, but it is a MAJOR peeve. After all, they are PAID to do it right! It's not.that.hard. Also, it is not just one person. Someone wrote it, then there's an editor FFS! NO ONE notices? No ALLEGED professional? Really??!! (Did I mention major peeve? And don't even get me started on the official degradation of the word "literally". Thanks for obliterating an essential word for which there is no substitute! WTF?!!!!)

(I also get exasperated with business enterprises and sign makers --again, likely through more than one person and no one knows better?! Wish I could remember the one I saw the other day. It was a whopper.)

Forum writing is stylistically different and I have no problem with that.

Ok, now that THAT'S out of my system, lol!

(Thought of something that weirds me out, but forgot it. If it comes back, I promise to go back on topic. )
