Medusax, how about checking for a rock collecting group in your area? And remember we are scattered all over the place.
Kindness Rocks has a long and wonderful story about how the movement began. But to put it succinctly, someone paints a rock that helps to cheer the finder's day. That can be an image, words, both...anything inspiring. The artist hides the rock in plain view, anywhere...any public place. Sooner or later (usually sooner) someone comes along and finds the rock. The finder can either keep the rock or rehide it.

Many Kindness Rock groups have a Facebook page so people can post pictures of rocks they've painted, and of found rocks. It's an especially delightful activity for children - gets them outside placing rocks they've painted and searching for rocks. And of course, when they see a rock they've painted posted on Facebook, it's very exciting!

I started a "fairy door" in my town, which is a little place beneath a tree (in our case, on the library grounds). It's been *mysteriously* decorated by members of the group. The fairy door is a rock-hiding place where a person can always find a rock....kind of a place of perpetual inspiration. AND we're having a rock painting party later this month...an autumn/Halloween theme.

So. There you have it .
Thanks for this!
