i have been taking lexapro a very long time-- since it came out here in the usa to replace celexa 6 years or so ago. i take 30 mg a day which is alot but i am a big guy. i can assure you that hearing things is not a side effect of lexapro because i am very sensitive to side effects. i think hearing things is prolly a symptom of your illness. i myself have heard things before having a psychotic break. so i think you better tell your doctor about it emphatically. i am on a low dose of haldol to prevent me from hearing hallucinations. that might be the way for you to go too. http://forums.psychcentral.com/images/icons/help.gif
