Maybe taking some stuff off your resume will help, employers when calling to verify your employment can only ask when you worked for them and if they would rehire you.

I feel bad for you I held more complicated better pay jobs in Florida but moving to a small town in Tennessee really limited my employment I was over qualified for most every job I applied for. Finally I was in a interview and was ask the “why do you want this position? “ my reply was “ I need a job” I got the job. I did have to take less money.
