You should seriously consider the offer. With applications going through online platforms in this day and age it is easier to get a job if you know someone on the inside. Plus, the president of a company is not going to offer you a job just to be nice. He/she has way too much on the line to offer a job to someone he/she doesn't truly think can handle. So, you must have something that speaks to your capability. I truly hope something works out for you.
