It is politically correct to complain about cell phones and I am NEVER not pc. However... I live in a rural state and have reported accidents I can't stop at and those I do. An accident I myself had and needed help. I use it to report murderous drivers. I have used my phone to always be available to my youngest child with special needs as she learns self advocacy and independence. I have used my phone to be notified of friend's crises and to be able to get there. I use it as free long distance after 9 and on weekends. I have used it to report injuries at swimming area. I have used it to report large livestock in roads causing a danger. I will agree that teens texting is stupidity to the nth degree. I will agree that chatting in public is inappropriate. I will also agree that I hate that they try to make the phones contain everything and make them so complicated. For my use I get used phones as much as I can. Our phones are no "in" but still bag phones were only 10 years ago. Technology is changing very fast.
