My microwave, for me, is an expensive popcorn popper. My husband uses it to cook bacon and other breakfast meats and I guess since my kitchen is so small it comes in handy when trying to make multi-dish meals.

I hate the microwaves in sub shops and "restaurants" of that ilk. Nothing makes me angrier than getting a "hot" piece of pizza that I can't eat for 5-10 minutes. Don't give me food that can injure me! I didn't feel bad about the McDonald's coffee-in-the-lap incident, it wasn't funny to me.

I guess I wouldn't want to do without the Internet; I could do without computers (I could do with paper and pencil :-) but I wouldn't want to give up my research and communication abilities.
