I don't have the link to the charts handy, but that's not unreasonable. Speed factors in; the faster we go, the less "fuel efficient" we are. Slow walking burns fewer calories per mile than fast walking and running burns more calories per mile than fast walking. The calorie difference is even greater if you use time since you cover more distance in the same time the faster you go. Using your figure, you would burn 328 calories in an hour to go 4 miles. When I ran, I burned about 600 calories in an hour to go 6 miles.
I ended up about 650 calories over yesterday. Because I rolled over about 1300 from prior days, that means I really was about 650 under when adding the daily goal to the burn for yesterday. And I was back in the mode of editing logged calories and ignoring steps.
I have still been using Pacer, just not auto logging. I averaged 3150 steps per day for the last week. As long as I stay under 5,000, I don't see much need in logging. I will log if I do a long walk, which will become more common as the weather begins to cool and I don't paddle much. I will start kayaking more but not as frequently as I paddle SUP.
