Getting up to go downstairs at 3am to get something to eat. Bith times turned out bad.....but funny.

First time I made the food. Put it on my plate & headed back for upstairs. As I came around the corner of my kitchen into the entry hall I tripped over the storage box I had left there weeks before (not like I didn't know it was there)

I managed to fall still holding onto my plate if food right onto the NEW soft entryway runner I had just purchased. Not a drop of food came off the plate. I acrually layed there laughing so hard after surveying the situation & knowing I didn't get hurt. Lol.....lots of bad choices involved in that from not putting away the storage box to going afted food at 3am.

Several years later.....another 3am food run to the kitchen. I had parked my truck right in front of my front deck 3 days earlier. I had left my front door open but had my all glass storm door locked. I had taken my purse & with my keys & truck door popper up to my room the last time I drove my truck.

Going down stairs I didn't notice anything unusual but after getting my good & heading back for the stairs I noticed my truck headlights were on. I thought how strange. They usually go off automatically after a few minutes if the truck door had been opened but they didn't go off. I wasn't about to go out & investigate if someone was actually there & there was no moon that night & my porch lights didn't show anything.....but the headlights continued to stay on. I finally decided to call our sheriff & he came out. He saw the headlights as he was driving down the hill to my farm then he said they went off by the time he drove back up hill & could see the truck again. We went all around the truck & derermined that no one had touched it as the night dew would have showed up foot prints or prints on my truck but there was nothing.

I initially thought maybe an electrical short. But later on I was experimenting with my door popper & found that when the emergency button is hit the headlights go on for an extended period of time.
..
So I realized that one of my dogs that were on my bed when I went downstairs had stepped on or layed on the emergency button on my door popper I had left laying with my purse on my bed next to where I sleep. Lots of choices go into making these situations turn into the wierd ones they become.
