One neighbor plugs in his tiny Fender speaker and riffs the blues on an ancient Rickenbacker bass. Always a joy to hear.

I think that I had too many friends who were real musicians — studying with Jean-Pierre Rampal then moving to big-city orchestras — to think my talentless, er, talent worth bringing out (because that would have been embarrassing!). But I enjoy listening so much.
