My wife and I had a rental home in Nags Head. Long, long drive but terrific beach, beer and crabs.
House is long gone. When a hurricane threatens the Outer Banks I think of the many times we would stay... just ‘ride it out.’
My wife and I (and her entire family) were idiots.
