Ah jeeze, I feel like an idiot. Ignore everything I said above. I was clicking on the wrong link!  If I click on the link for the actual post it goes to the post. If I click on the link for the thread it goes to the first post in the thread.

just a thought we can control what order we want to see posts in. the setting is in edit options....
first step click the word "profile" in the bar at the top of the page.
this will open your user control panel
next click on "edit Options" on the left side of page
next scroll down to "Thread Display Options"
then set your option of whether you want to see older posts in your threads first or newer ones first. I have mine set at linear older so that the original posters post is always on page one of the thread. if you would like the last post to be page one select linear - newer.
