Hello hippaforalkus: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral.

I'm sorry I don't really know what to tell you about this. I know I've had a few experiences of this sort over the years. In my case, though, my "obsession" with a movie or character faded over the course of a day or two. I don't know how long this has been going on with you.
