After having my knee reconstructed in my late 30's after blowing our my ACL playing racquetball in the challenge court with an A player (I won the game but blew out my knee on my winning point)

Knee surgery, no walking on my leg for 3 months, tons on PT, I went downhill skiing on intermediate slopes the 2nd week, 6 months after surgery (wearing my knee brace of course)

At 65 I am still climbing in & out if my truck bed, riding horses & hiking. I can't imagine life without being able to be so active in spite of all the broken bones I've had coming off horses the hard way. I think keeping moving & exercising helps keep the arthritis from getting bad in all my injured places like the ortho who monitored my compression fracture of my back said would happen as I get older. Dang it was hard not to mow or pick up anything weighing more than 5 lbs while my back was healing for 6 months.
