Gosh how I hate when this happens....so frustrating!

I have taught myself a bit of self relaxation that almost always works....and that's saying goodnight to every part of my body.

Start off with laying prone in bed...legs straight, arms straight by your side. Close your eyes and start at your toes....saying good night. toes, it's time to relax and go to sleep. Then to your feet, ankles, calves, knees, thigh, etc etc, working your way up to your head. Tell each part it's time to relax and go to sleep.

As you progress, you will feel those parts begin to get relaxed and feel a bit heavy. Most times when I have to use this, I never make it to my head..I usually fall asleep somewhere around my middle...LOL.

It may take a couple of nights worth of practice, but it really does help. And occasionally, I've had to go through it a second time to work. So don't be discouraged if it doesn't work right off

Wishing you happy dreams!
