I got Bp and 5 kids other people i know with BP and kids go though the same struggle .Do my kids have Bp ? Doctors are real fast to put kids on meds. To today but most of the newer and better meds. are unsafe for kids to be taking and some of the side effects are to strong for them to function like a kid. I had my kids doctor take them off meds. in place for treatment and they are do much better at this point .Bp meds. seem to be given out to everyone these days Coming off of some meds. is worst and harder to do then most street drugs out there . I really didn't wont my kids on them . For I been though withdraw off of meds. and it sucks big time.

Get your son aand husband good Doctors don't be afraid switch doc. if you have to .You have to find a doctor who is willing to talk & work with you on what the best treatment is for your family not just get you in and out for their co-pay which most do . I would all so look for support groups for your family & your self .There are BP groups out not just for The people with Bp but the love ones we live with who don't have bp. When my Bp got out of control it hurt everyone around me but mainly me wife who loved me but couldn't figure out how to help me. Years latter we both know much more about Bp then we use to. learn all you know about Bp. it's the best Med. out there!
