I can't wait to start looking at houses to move into.

If I put down 3% on a $300k house, I will have a good chunk of money left over by the end of the year that I can use to remodel part of the house if need be. I've been saving up a lot of money over the years. I just hope I don't end up with a little ol' out-of-date granny house, because then I'm ripping off pale-green, flowery wallpaper and tearing ugly 60s wood molding off the walls. I can't afford to vomit every time I look at the walls.
