I was obsessive in my thoughts for years and would run over conversations continualy then I was prescribed meds and it has really helped me, I call it a settled head lol, I still do it but I have control over it now so when I realise I am doing it I talk myself down from it.
I used to dream with it as well, what I found was that if I was particually upset about somthing then the dreams would get worse, if I was in a fairly calm state the dreams would go away and leave me in peace.
Have a word with your Dr about it there is help out there.
