Today in awkward therapy moments: I’m trying to talk to my T about being unsure whether it’s OK to talk about certain topics related to connection because of some past responses he’s had. T: “this may sound arrogant, but I’m sure I’ve had some clients with romantic feelings for me who never shared them. But for those who did, we were able to continue working together, as long as they didn’t keep trying to push boundaries in an aggressive way.” Me: “.... um, ....yeah I’m not talking about romantic feelings...just connection.”
