I'd be happy bringing just a couple chairs, a sun hat, a sandwich, drink, and sunscreen. I won't wear a bathing suit. It's only 68 F (20 C) right now, though sunny, at almost 11 am. Really, if we go I'll want a pullover. It may feel even cooler by the ocean. At least the beach will likely have relatively few people on it. There aren't life guards there anymore at this time of year.

Ugh, yes, that is how I feel about the beach, especially if we don't go to the small local one but do Galveston instead. Water here tends to be warm most of the time except winter. The Gulf of Mexico just tends to be a warm ocean in this part of Texas, at least.
I hate when we drag a ton of things along, sand everywhere, and my daughter & I sunburn easily.
The chance of rain is high today again. I can't remember having so many rainy days in a row here. It's been going on 2 to 3 weeks now, except for a few days. Most of it is light rain, but it's still not exactly the norm.
