Hubby's pdoc told us there is no medicine to treat DID. There are meds to treat the symptoms such as anxiety, but no, there is no medicine that I have heard of. Therapy has been wonderful for him. He's come so far in only a few months.

Hubby's been on Zoloft for about 2 years. Works well with him. As with any med, you have to let your body adjust to them. The important thing to remember is everyone reacts to medicine differently. Hubby used to take Seroquel, which made him EXTREMELY tired at 25 mg...other people I know take 500mg with no tiredness at all. It all depends on the person.

"Worth" also depends on the person. For my husband, it is so worth it. He was becoming a different person...now, he is getting back to the man I fell in love with. Other people do better without meds.
