I felt so bad that I gave him a $50 tip. You literally could barely see in front of you when you walked. These people are dedicated! AND the guy walked the groceries up the steps into my apartment. Wow! We ended up with nearly 5 feet of snow by the end of the day, and luckily he went in the morning around 6am when there was like 1 foot on the ground.

I respect these guys so much. They really do work hard.

Sorry that you had trouble with groceries, though. hopefully you can sneak a good nap in
Got the groceries taken care of, drank a bit of coffee, seems like I've woken up a little.

Curbside isn't grocery delivery. You drive to the store, park, and they load the order into your car. Since money is tight, I have to grocery shop at Super Wal-mart, which at least their curbside pickup is always free. Other grocery stores around will waive the pickup fee the first few orders, but then you have to pay, I think around $5.

And I did need groceries. I'd planned on making salads with ravioli tonight, and I was out of lettuce & all veggies except tomatoes. I tend to choose the 8 AM pickup because I drop my daughter off at school around 7:45, and it takes around 10 minutes to get to the store.

On the positive, this curbside option prevents me from making impulse buys while shopping, especially if I need something like toothpaste in the pharmacy section while nearly all the groceries are on the complete opposite side of the store, and then I end up walking past all different sections, seasonal, books, DVDs, etc.
