I love dark toast. I have a ritual with my toast. I put it on a medium setting--then when it pops up, I push it down again, and pull it up when I start to smell the perfect smell that tells me it's getting dark. Just before black.
I love so many kinds of toast...
German dark rye, or regular light rye with reallly good butter, and sometimes havarti or muenster cheese slices on it. Wheat toast with peanut butter, or sliced sharp cheddar cheese. I could eat toast all the time. So many variations.
