Tonight is choir rehearsal for my boys. One of my favorite nights of the week...I usually arrive tired and wishing to stay home, and leave refreshed and smiling.
They’re singing a song about refugee children, which is gorgeous musically and lyrically moving. They just sat down to discuss the dynamics and tone and came up with some thoughtful insightful compassionate comments about what they want to convey with this piece. I’ve been sitting in on rehearsal with lots of these guys since they were pretty little, and I got a little teary at what remarkable young men they are.
