H has it, too. It hit us both on the very same day. Nobody can sleep for very long. Awake with painful coughing, trying to keep airways clear. I am trying to avoid the ER. yet, I will go if I need to go; I have a "go bag" ready.
Cancelled my day tomorrow.
Chicken soup anyone?

I hope you feel better soon!
I agree with BeyondTheRainbow -- try not to put off the ER if you need it. Better safe than sorry imo. I remember when ignored my nausea one day.
This really isn't a trigger, but maybe gross because it involves nausea lol So if you're squeamish, ignore this.
So... tl;dr -- if you think you might need the hospital, do not wait. Things could take a turn for the worst in the blink of an eye when you have initially thought you'd be ok.
I'm not trying to scare you, but to show that it's really important to watch after your body before it starts to scream. Nip it in the bud. If it's bacterial pneumonia, for example, then it's a relatively "easy" fix compared to virual pneumonia. My grandma had bacteiral pneumonia a lot (no idea how she got it since we never got it) and she was out of the hospital in less than a week with some antibiotics to take.
