Ugh, started Tuesday in tears. Our boss wants everyone to meet tomorrow to discuss last month's numbers. We usually have meetings every other month and we just had one last month, so something's up. I imagine she is not happy.

I mean what does she want? As I mentioned above we had three national holidays and a lot of people took extra days around those. So, of course the numbers are going to be lower! What are we supposed to do, not take (legally mandated in this country) holiday and vacation time? That's what it sounds like to me. Well, she did pressure someone to come off doctor-ordered sick leave for a serious flu, so I guess she thinks we don't deserve holidays either. Ironically, she takes more sick leave than the rest of the department combined.


I recently reconnected with a guy that used to work on our team that I got along well with. He was fired, although from everything I could see, it was not due to his work quality. The boss probably just decided she didn't like him. I used to help him with some things related to Brazil, so I did see his work and it honestly seemed good. He said at that point he felt the bad atmosphere there. I told him, he had seen nothing. It is so much worse now!
