Since I started here as a freelancer in 2016, we have been told we are going to get a better system, but it's still not ready. There was one attempt but it was just as bad as far as wasting time and they scrapped it. We could do a better job numbers-wise with a new system that actually takes into account how we work.

I feel your pain. It’s the same for me. It’s just demoralizing. I work in health care where technology is ages behind the rest of the world.
I used to be able to leave work issues at home. As soon as I walked out the door I forgot about all of it. Now I drag it with me. I really should see a counselor because this has gone on too long... this and other personal issues has just changed me.... money and time are an issue as far as counseling goes.... that and I’ve also had bad experiences with counselors in the past which makes me reluctant to spend the money and time once I have it again....
