After much pressure, my GP finally accepted that the GI issues I've been experiencing can't all be explained by my hiatal hernia. So she referred me for a gastroscope.

I'm kind of nervous because I have to be sedated, which doesn't bother me, what worries me is will they give me enough sedative. The last time I had an endoscope, I woke up mid procedure which wasn't pleasant.

And because of the sedation, I have to be taken home by a friend. Well that caused me some hassle, as most of my friends don't have cars and/or couldn't take time off work. I finally got a friend's husband to agree to pick me up and drive me home.

Not looking forward to this.
