I’m so sorry you are struggling Pennster.
I manage to a debilitating health issue that flares up as well. It’s hard during the times I feel alone and unsupported.
Is there a way you can notify your therapist while he is away? It might help to get affirmation that he is thinking about you even if you can’t meet in person.
When I am not feeling well and don’t have the support I need, I am very vigilant with self care and treat myself as kindly as I would a loved one. Warm baths help and I give myself the leeway to eat anything I am in the mood for. It’s comforting to read books or watch movies about others who have gone through a lot in their lives and were strengthened by it. I’ve fallen back on Maya Angelou books and audiobooks on many occasions. Audiobooks are particularly helpful if the reader’s voice is soothing and the words are wise. (Letter to My Daughter is my favorite)
I hope you feel better soon!
