All I can say is that we are constantly accused of having a one track mind...in and out. ,

Well for me (can't really speak for everyone so I'll just be talking about my apart from the rest of the system) I don't believe having such a horrible memory was as much a problem before DID, so logically the memory loss would be a direct result of that. It's not the same as most people's memory loss. It's not forgetting to do something, or occasionally forgetting where I sat a pencil or something. It's a pretty frustrating thing sometimes. It's not forgetting to do something it's forgetting I did something.
The thing is that I don't suddenly become aware of myself and find myself in a different place then I last recall. I feel like I'm always aware of what's going on and then later after I front again I realize I don't actually remember some random chunk of time. So it kind of feels like I remember right after I front again, then forget what happened later. Kinda hard to say when I don't have any memory to go off of.
I guess what I'm asking is if it's like this for anyone else.
