Just reread your OP and the thread and wanted to share that sometimes lack of social contact can be particularly stressful if you're a person who tends to process things by bouncing ideas off of other people or checking perceptions with them (which I think everyone does to a degree but some more than others). Also lack of social contact may mean lack of affection and physical touch which can also be another stressor.
Seeing a therapist or counsellor can be positive, not only to get insight into a situation , but also just to have a connection with them.
Maybe the above might seem too obvious - but personally I've found that I came unstuck with my mh a number of times because of this as I underestimated the value of working on friendships and family relationships and had become isolated.
As for the situations you mentioned in the OP where symptoms worsened - personally I believe that your unconscious may hold the key to what the meaning behind that is. A good therapist could help draw out your thoughts on this (it might be as well to remember that the unconscious may possibly speak in metaphors at times) - or it could be something much simpler.
