Yes oh my god - rocks!
There was a new sewer pipe laid in my garden, and afterwards I decided to dig up the broken concrete around it.
Underneath the concrete I found thousands of beautiful deep blue flints. I live somewhere very old, and I think the flints must date from a couple of centuries ago.
I washed them all and laid them into a path.
To everyone else, they look the same as the gravel that you buy in the builder's yard, but to me they are individual and wonderful - colour, sparkle crystals, translucency.
Now that it's autumn I carefully collect the brown leaves from my blue flint path - thinking about that gives me a big smile.
While I was digging them out, my neighbours kept saying "give it up and just buy some". Then they tutted and went silent.
But they give me joy
