Do you really believe that the pain you are feeling could have been avoided? Let's imagine that she would have done as she was supposed to in the first place and gave you 20 or 30 (or whatever the accepted max was) sessions which also included 4 sessions for termination. Do you think you would still not feel hurt and would not complain that how she could terminate you while she knew that you clearly would need more time?

Somehow I just don't think that this pain could have been avoided and I don't want to express judgement whether this is good or bad.
