I went to an IOP several years ago. It didn't help with the underlying issues but it did help with the fear and loneliness for the weeks that I was in it. And that helped overall, some, after I left. Basically, terms of my issues it was a waste of money. But in terms of helping me get through a couple of months, it did help.

The DBT and CBT were of no use to me, and the invalidation I got when I tried to talk about it was horrible. Usual, but still horrible. I numbed out, got through the program, and as I said, being around some other people for 2 months did help some from where I was when I went into the program.
Thanks for this!
