What your son is doing sounds like a form of child abuse or neglect. Would you be able to talk to his wife and tell her what is going on? Is there anybody else you can contact? Perhaps, as a last resort, the police. I think...as a grandmother who is also struggling emotionally, take care of yourself, and be there for your granddaughter (phone calls, etc) as much as you are able. I'm sorry this is happening.
