The point is not that you aren't doing anything wrong, the point is that they shouldn't be watching in the first place. Don't confuse apathy and complacency with moral right. The fact is, the PATRIOT Act gutted our constitutional rights and made giving police departments military equipment the new normal.

Therefore, I'd argue that we have a moral and ethical obligation as Americans to do everything we can to thwart the government from spying on us unnecessarily.
