I no longer live in poverty but I did for a while. I lost everything due to my mental health and wen to on SSDI, which, of course, wasn't enough to pay for everything. I admit that I probably did not have it as bad as others in poverty, but I have been there and I know what it's like.
Poverty is a systemic issue that is affected by so many variables, not just your job or lack thereof. I am interested to listen and contribute as I can in this thread.

Primary Dx: C-PTSD and Severe Chronic Treatment Resistant Major Depressive Disorder
Secondary Dx: Generalized Anxiety Disorder with mild Agoraphobia.
