What I had to learn was that it doesn't matter what has caused the migraine (at the time) but to take the medicine and not argue with it or yourself. Any delay in treating the (impending) migraine can result in it being more severely and lasting longer. I found myself trying to reason with them, oh, if I eat something now, it must be because I haven't eaten... and those types of arguments... that don't matter right then. Once you have the onset of a migraine, you just have to treat it, imo.
There are even opthalmolgic migraines. I have them also. (Caused by eye issues.)
AND there are "no pain" migraines. But these, too, still need to be treated as the body is battling it. If you have prodromes and auras and think you aren't having migraines, reconsider and talk with your doctor.
