Having the government monitor you in public via metal detectors and cameras in government buildings is one thing. Operating (illegally, I might add) a massive intelligence gathering operation in utter secrecy as a public social media company is another entirely. I didn't invite the government in to examine my personal life under a microscope to see if I fit some bureaucrat's definition of subversive. The right to privacy is a very important right.
