Ask your pdoc, they may give you something else. Like I have Clonidine, Seroquel (dose is large so obviously more than just for sleep), but I wasn't on it in the past & had low dose Seroqel (25-50 mg for sleep). Worked wonders for me at the time. With my current combo, doc had to add 25 mg trazodone. More than that, and I am zombied. I have Klonopin, but I don't think it did a thing with my sleep. Too little sleep with BP is bad, at least for me it is.
Oh, and it's not listed, but I'm on 10 mg melatonin (pdoc suggestion). Melatonin is OTC, so is valerian. There was a point before pregnancy off the meds I had to combine meletaonin & valerian (that one really stinks) to sleep (not recommended by docs or online), but it worked for me without causing crazy panic attacks like Ambien did. Other classic PCP prescribed sleep meds didn't do a thing for me.
