It is a great idea hiring a cleaning service if you can afford it. Less stress on you.
I hate December a lot because of this issue, not to mention the holidays. My daughter's birthday is Dec. 14. She is turning 11 this year. She always wants a huge party. H & I are trying to think of a way to just have her invite 5 or 6 good friends.
Once we had it here. First, half the kids did not RSVP. Second, my house is way too small, no open areas, small rooms all over. I stressed so much about the cleaning, I nearly made myself sick.
A few good friends would solve the English/Spanish barrier I have with a lot of the truly bilingual kids in her class (often one or both of the parents or guardians only speak broken English; I speak no Spanish.)
In this limited group of friends, I have parents with fluent English, phone numbers, and am comfortable texting the day before the party to ask if their child plans to attend. I'd have more of an idea how many kids to expect. I like knowing things like that in advance.
Then, we could do more with less money. Renting a place is expensive. And it is December. Even here, it can be chilly or rainy outside, possibly snow flurries, or warm, shorts weather, or just pleasant outdoors; you just don't have a clue. But that rules out parks & beachside areas. And we have to do the party early Dec. to not collide with holiday plans.

I had a headache a really strange pressure headache before starting my meds but the tremmors just started yesterday day 5 of being on them. Last time on this med I didn't have a single side effect. Im hoping its just a rush of dopamine or something and goes away so I can stay on it.
Yeah my kid large birthday parties I usually had out of the house- The little gym, a bouncy house place, a roller rink, etc and its always because I do the same darn thing- i make myself sick with worry cleaning everything down to the baseboards. I get so wound up when things are at my house it shard to function. Its like the cleaner my house and more organized I appear the more normal I think they'll think I am.
It would be easier for me if my son wanted a roller skating party or something. Some places even decorate and clean up after you if you buy a "party package" When we did it at the Little gym when my daughter was 8 all I had to do was bring the cake.
I actually thought about seeing if they could do it at the library but i don't think they have the space or would like food there =(
Does you daughter know about your disability like have you guys discussed what its called and stuff? Mine know I get tired and sick and I've talked about anxiety but thats it. I know I'm going to have to talk to them about it but I think im going to wait till im stable.
